Do I pay CasaXero as a buyer?
No. Our guidance is completely free of charge for buyers, from the first viewing to the notary and the aftersales.
What are the costs of buying a home?
Count on roughly 12% on top of the price for an existing home (transfer tax of 10%, notary, registry and lawyer) and about 13% for a new build (VAT of 10% plus stamp duty). Before you make an offer, you get a complete overview of the costs.
Do I need an NIE to buy?
Yes. The NIE is the foreigner's identification number in Spain. You need it to sign the deed, pay the taxes and connect utilities. A lawyer can arrange it for you.
Can I get a mortgage in Spain?
Usually yes, also as a non-resident, depending on your income and the bank. We work with Mortgage Direct, an independent mortgage broker, if you want advice.
How do viewings work?
Viewings are by appointment, preferably arranged by e-mail. There are no appointments on Fridays (office day) or at weekends.
What if the right home is not listed?
Send us a search request with your wishes: budget, bedrooms, pool, distance to the coast. We look further, also with partner agents, free of charge.
